What I find interesting 'bout this photo is that-if you aren't focusing on the small gritty details that show the building's decaying and instead just focus on the composition of all the elements-, it looks like a castle garden ground in the middle of a coming storm. I think that's pretty cool, but not sure if anyone else's looked at it that way. Still, I do like the fact that-for me at least-it has a dual personality.
Hmm, never thought of it like that! I see it now, but only if I blur my eyes so that the composition becomes more apparent to me. Thanks for the insight!
Sure thing. I always like finding different ways to interpret pictures. It was actually this one other artist's work though where you have to shift your eyes a bit so that the picture actually looks three dimensional-where it's literally popping off the screen-that sort of got me into looking at other stuff that way, though not every picture's gonna be 3d. I'll look for the artist to give an actual name.
~artbytheo, perhaps? He does stereo images with some of his paintings... great stuff, I never thought of applying that eye-bending technique to normal artworks though!
Yep, that's the guy. It's really good stuff; I don't know if I have him as a watch yet but I should xD. It's a bit strainful on the eyes at first but eventually you get used to it.
